SkateBoarding Day 1

There is nobody crazy enough to longboard in downtown Calgary today. Except me. The first 2 blocks were all right. But quickly after that I became aware how out of shape I am. Skating down Stephen avenue, I always nailed a pedestrian who didn't look before walking in front of me. My right leg is sore. I tried to swap my feet but my body would not obey. Goofy-footing isn't for me. But I'll keep at it, trying each day as I slowly get better and back into shape.

Its very strange to carry a longboard to work. Riding on sidewalks is a challenge due to the cracks and bumps you find along the way. Unfortunately there is a bit of snow and slush around, so it's not the best place to board yet.
