Calgary 2012 Flood, Newer Car, Stuff

Getting a newer car is like partying with Michael Scott from the office: It's great, and you never know what you're going to get into.

I sold my old Altima for One thousand eight hundred dollars - cheap, I know. I put about 1500 cash down on a 2012 Mazda 3 GX, a great little red car with 4 doors, A/C, power windows, power door locks, stereo, and manu-shift. The car drives so steady and true on the road. Admittedly, there is alot more road noise because there is less insulation between the road and the passenger area. No big deal. The brakes, handling, turn-in, are excellent. I no longer feel like I'm driving a big boat around.

And so the flood.

Where I live the flood has (thankfully) not affected me. The downtown area was hit pretty bad, no power for most businesses until Tuesday. I'm going to try and get into the downtown core tomorrow, as I have a few customers to visit. I'll take some shots when I'm around the city.
