AutoRevu's Crap Cars Day 5

If you lived in Canada in the early 90's, you know about the Asuna Sunfire. It was a captive import car, sold by GM and was a rebadged Isuzu. Pictured above and below is a badly riced Sunfire with the mesh grille and cheapie driving lights.

I knew a woman who drove a car like this.....and I was warned she was "loose".... thankfully I took the co-workers advice and stayed away from her. Pictured below is the incredibly short GM badge lifetime of Asuna:

It's like a 2-year run! But these were good cars in their day. Their performance was respectable:

Model 0-60 mph Top speed
1990 "hatchback" wagon 10.0 seconds 108 mph (174 km/h)
1990 GSI 8.0 seconds 130 mph (210 km/h)
1992 GSI 7.1 seconds 125 mph (201 km/h)

Today's crap car is not crap..........just dead. A dead brand orphaned by a misguided auto giant: GM.
